Both Renaissance Security and our security officers take their on-site security roles seriously. To this end their responsibilities while on-site are as follows:

• Create a safe and friendly environment for both customers and staff by preventing any public disorder.

• Assist in the protection of client's property and assets against damage/loss and to protect any performers using the venue.

• Be respectful, pleasant and helpful to all of the customers.

• Patrol constantly and to be alert at all times for any security, fire, or hazards that might affect safety.

• Be pro-active in their approach and act before an incident occurs, especially in cases involving drug use and excessive alcohol.

• Always maintain a discreet distance from the client's staff in order to avoid over familiarity which can cause one to be compromised.

• Log all reportable issues into the incident report book and notify on-site supervisor.

• Always wear the full uniform at all times when on duty and to ensure it is clean and pressed at all times.

• Report for duties clean, presentable and on time whilst in possession of the appropriate security tag.

• Be familiar with the location lay-out on each floor.

• Be aware of fire procedures at the location.

• Ensure that the venue is opened and closed in line with operational procedures.

• Ensure all legal, licensing and Health and safety obligations are adhered to at all times.

• Oversee the implementation of door policies and procedures.

• Ensure that new members of security are trained in accordance with the Renaissance Security Services Limited induction and training programme before starting work.

• Review venue operations, security procedures and incidents regularly with the view to recommending modifications that will provide a safer environment.

• Co-ordinate the distribution and retrieval of all security equipment and report any failure to company Operations Manager.

• Liaise directly with members of the emergency services, Gardai, and official government bodies.

• Implement any required searching of bags etc, in accordance with the Client's search policy and of public laws and rights.

• Assist in the event of evacuation.

• Assist in emergency first aid situation if required.

• Carry out additional duties as required by Client and Renaissance Security Management.
